Beaches
The beaches in Kos are some of the most beautiful in the Dodecanese islands. The majority of Kos' beaches are sandy with crystal blue waters. Many Kos beaches are organized and offer plenty of tourist facilities, like Kardamena, Kefalos Kamari, and Lambi, while others are secluded and frequented by naturists. Lambi beach is in kos town, sandy, full of nice beach bars offering beach umbrellas food and drinks serviced to you on the seaside.
Agios Fokas beach is a wide pebbled beach in the southeast 4 km from Kos town, the sea is always flat and waveless, easy for swimming. You can visit and enjoy Agios Fokas beach club located on the east side of the beach.
Therma beach 2 km further south from Agios Fokas is a pebbled beach where natural hot springs pour into a rock-formed sea poll you can easily enter and enjoy.
Tigaki, Mastichari, and Marmari beaches are long and wide sandy beaches along the north side of the island, usually slightly wavy. You can enjoy swimming, all kinds of sea sports and horse riding.
Super Paradise, Camel beach, Lagada beach, Polemi, and Psilos Gremos are large sandy beaches just before Kefalos main coast the so-called Kamari beach.
Agios Stefanos beach is located just before Kamari in the Kefalos area. It is a unique place to visit since you can swim overlooking the basilicas of Saint Stephen, a complex of two early Christian churches dating from the 6th and the 5th century BC and the islet of Kastri.
Agios Theologos on the northwest side of the island and Paradise beach on the most west side are more secluded beaches reached better with a four-wheel-drive car. Their wild landscape will win the impressions.
